In light of rising COVID cases in our area, the Health Team, Board Chair, Moderator, and Carol Elmore of Oak Grove have made a decision about this upcoming Sunday, August 1, in an attempt to reduce our risks. Because Roanoke County and Salem are currently registered in the HIGH level of diagnosed cases, and Roanoke City is registered at SIGNIFICANT, we are concerned and want to make room for a healthier environment. We know of cases in the area of positive COVID tests in fully vaccinated people. We will meet in the Fellowship Hall for WORSHIP at 11:00 am, and encourage everyone to wear masks. We will have the doors and windows open, and chairs in small groupings and spread out.
Carol has been in touch with each Sunday school teacher and here’s what you can expect:
CHILDREN will meet as we have been – downstairs hall or outside, during SS AND worship.
JUNIOR AND SENIOR HIGH YOUTH will meet upstairs in the former Junior High Room.
SALT will meet in their regular room.
SEEKERS will meet in their regular room.
FELLOWSHIP will meet in the sanctuary (teacher will have a mic so all can hear).
PATHFINDERS and DISCIPLES are invited to join the Fellowship Class in the sanctuary.
We encourage everyone to wear masks while inside the church building.
